- TISS offers 55 Master's Degree programmes from its Mumbai, Tuljapur, Guwahati and Hyderabad campuses and other locations for the 2018-2020 batch. For the admission in Tata Institute of Social Science(TISS), one has to clear TISSNET.
- TISS does not offer any MBA programme, however their M.A. programmes are very popular amongst MBA aspirants, as Industry considers TISS in the elite group of research and higher learning institutes in the field of Human Resources Management and Labour Relations.

Application Process
- All the candidates are requested to apply online, however the facility for offline application is available only for candidates coming from remote areas only where Internet facility are not available like North-East, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand etc
- A candidate can apply for a maximum of 3 programmes in two campuses in the same application form.
- Please note TISS does not accept CAT / MAT / CET / GRE / GMAT scores.

Eligibility
a) Programme require completion of Bachelor's Degree of minimum of 3 years duration or its equivalent ( under the 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 or 10+2+2+1 year bridge course pattern of study or any other pattern fulfilling the mandatory requirements of 15 years formal education) from a recognised university, in any discipline.
b) At the time of applying candidates studying in 3 year degree progremme should have passed in all the subjects for the 1st to 4th semesters and candidates studying in 4 year degree progrmmes should have passed in all the subjects for 1st to 6th semester.
c) Only those Candidates who will be able to complete all the requirements of their final year Bachelor's Degree examinations by Saturday, June 10, 2017 are eligible to apply to all the programme.
Till the time the candidate submit results of the final year degree examination, admission to any of the Master's Degree Programmes of the Institute will be provisional. The results of the final examination have to be submitted before September 30, 2017. Those who fail to do so the provisional admission stands canceled.

Merit List preparation:
- The weightage for NET, PIT and PI is as follows for the for the preparation of final merit lists for General as well as for Reserved Category candidates. NET – 40% ; PIT – 30% ; PI – 30%.
- The merit list will be prepared on the basis of merit and the preferences indicated by the candidates at the time of filling up the online application form (Kindly Indicate your preferences carefully as it has implications for the merit list)
- In case of a tie between two candidates, their PI marks will be compared and the one with more marks in PI will be considered, in case there is a tie in PI marks too their PIT marks will be compared and the one with more marks in PIT will be considered, in case there is a tie in PIT marks too then the Entrance test marks will be compared and the one with more marks in entrance test will be considered, in case there is a tie in Entrance marks too then the candidate higher in age will be given the seat.
Based on the merit list for each programme, the list of selected candidates will be put up on the website. Each candidate will also receive his/her score card indicating the marks for each component of the examination process.

- TISS net 2018 will not have negative marking for any programme including HRM.
- Candidates who have applied for a single programme or multiple programmes will be attempting a single question paper with 100 questions for a duration of 100 minutes.
- The Online test is of objective type and even those with a rudimentary knowledge of working with computer can take the test.
